I have loved books since I was a kid and would take my book up into the weeping willow tree that stood in our yard and read in solitude for hours. I have read every type of book including the Bobbsey Twins, Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. Those of us who grew up with books are extremely lucky. What a world of fun when you discover reading. How exciting to be drawn into a good mystery or adventure. I traveled the world and never left my tree.
Now you can read from a hand held Kindle available from Amazon books. For me the switch to online books is a hard one. At sixty-two I have a hard time not holding a beloved book and may eventually evolve to the new age of reading, but for now you will find me browsing used book stores, as well as online book stores. While I no longer climb into a tree, I have been known to take a book out into the desert and sit in the sun to read in the winter and under the shade of a mesquite tree in summer.
With the arrival of audio books when my husband and I travel we love to pass the driving time listening to our favorite authors. Occasionally we have reached our destination before the end of a book we have been known to sit and listen to the rest before getting out of the vehicle.
The love of reading or listening to a good story never leaves the blood.
